Thema "Perfume Bottles" am 24.02.2023.
Have a good Friday and stay safe and healthy.🍀
Many thanks for all your views, faves and comments.
The Looking Close on Friday theme is perfume bottles and this had to be mine- right? Haven’t a clue why I’ve kept it bc it has a significant piece missing from the upper right corner. Will post a picture of that later.
btw, it never did have a stopper.

Looking Close...on Friday! ~ Words on Glass
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
I decided to capture the bottle of the perfume that my wife loves more. I focused on the glass (top left), where some details are made more visible by using a led torch. I hope that you will like the result, my friends! ;-)
P.S. After taking the shot, I noticed that, within the theme description, it is stated "no labels". The label is present in this pic but it is out of focus... in any case, if this
is not acceptable to the admins, it is ok for me to remove this image from the group.

Una idílica imagen de este paisaje que parece sacado de una escenario irreal.

What interested me in this flower was the way the petals spun around the core like propeller blades.
Roses are a favourite flower of mine, though we don’t grow many in the garden here as they need lots of love and attention :)
People tend to think of the rose as a British love - it’s our national flower - but they were loved by older cultures before us, notably the Persians and the Greeks. Even today the Iranians are known for their love of rose gardens which always seems a bit ironic in view of western perceptions of the nation (I lived in Iran as a child and know them as gentle and courteous folk).
This was taken handheld in Hyde Hall RHS garden earlier in the month It’s a fairly tight crop of the centre of one of the flowers. It’s an old-style simple rose. This type of rose is often strongly perfumed.
For the Macro Wednesday group this week.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Mittwochsmakro :)

'Honey Perfume' floribunda rose, photographed by me yesterday evening, at about 6.45pm.
Thursday, 29th October, 2020.
Roxborough Park Rose Gardens, at Baulkham Hills (borderline to Castle Hill), in north-western Sydney.
The sun had just about set for the day and there were only a few shafts of direct sunlight.
'Honey Perfume' won the prestigious All American Rose Selection Award in 2004.
'Honey Perfume', an American rose, was first bred in 1993 by Dr Keith Zary, but not released as a rose until 2004 when it was introduced into the USA by the famous American rose growers, Jackson and Perkins - established in 1872!
'Honey Perfume' is a floribunda rose, as distinct from the hybrid tea roses that I mostly photograph. It is a fragrant rose.

My 'Honey Perfume' floribunda roses.
Growing here in the Hills District of Sydney. Despite their name, they are not especially fragrant, but they do produce a robust display of colour with a great array of petals.
Rosa 'Honey Perfume', is an apricot yellow/orange floribunda rose cultivar, bred by Dr. Keith Zary in 1993, and introduced into the United States by Jackson & Perkins in 2004. The rose was named an All-America Rose Selections winner in 2004.
