This impressive theatre was designed by the same architect who designed the Bird’s Nest Stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympics
When we were there, the theatre was showing the "Encore Melaka" performance, a fly through the history of Malacca from the days of the Prince of Palembang, Parameswara, to the arrival of the Chinese Admiral Cheng Ho, to the days of the Peranakans who contributed so much to the culture and ethos of Malacca.
The stage is indeed very impressive, with many levels all moving at the same time. It's also a very long long stage....

On July 11th, hundreds of Moms Clean Air Force members and their children gathered at the U.S. Capitol for the sixth annual “Play-In” for Climate Action. Members of Congress and youth climate strike leaders joined families—with elders, youth and toddlers—from more than 25 states to demand urgent action on dangerous air pollution that is changing our climate. In more than 100 Congressional meetings that followed the Play-In, members demanded that lawmakers solve the climate crisis for the love our children’s health and future. This means 100% clean energy across the entire economy by 2050. The event featured kids’ activities as well as a live performance by Latin GRAMMY award-winning bilingual children’s musician, Mister G who was hailed as a “bi-lingual rock star” by the Washington Post.
