Pentatomid hatchlings tend to stay together around the vacant eggs for an instar or two before dispersing. In this instance, three individuals are lagging a little behind their siblings in advancing to the next instar.
Also interesting is that the magic egg count for Pentatomids of this species/genus/tribe is 14.

This is a Stink Bug in the family Pentatomidae among the dry seed capsules of native Bird's Beak (Cordylanthus rigidus, Orobanchaceae) in the woods yesterday. The family name is a reference to the five-segmented antennae. These insects comprise one of the largest families of true bugs with hundreds of different species in North America alone, so I won't try to guess which one it is. I also saw a late-stage nymph nearby in the same plant. (San Marcos Pass, 20 November 2020)
