Note, TWM 220V was first registered on 7th November 1979 and originally operated by the Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive as number 1836. Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive's operations were transferred to Merseyside Transport Limited on 26th October 1986 due to bus deregulation. For me, this was a long time exposure; meant to be 90 seconds, it ran 82.2 seconds due to my not counting seconds quite slowly enough. It was too dark to see the lake and foreground nearly as well as they show up here. Thanks to Todd Williams (co-leader of the Potomac Highlands Photography Workshop offered by Randall Sanger Photography, September 11-14, 2014), who encouraged me to make this long-exposure shot, despite the apparent lack of light. The workshop went to Pendleton Lake in Blackwater Falls State Park for sunset, but there had been rain off and on all day and we had very little color. Still, it was a worthwhile shoot -- and it made me aware of Pendleton Lake, which I had missed on earlier visits to Blackwater Falls SP.

Portland is home to Pendleton Woolen Mills, and I made this blanket with $11 worth of wool from their scrap bin. I'll back it with flannel and leave it unquilted. Measures 47" x 55"

Just finished up this quilt/lap blanket made from a Pendleton fat quarter set. I am planning to write a pattern for it and the Pendleton Woolen Mill Store will be offering the pattern FOR FREE!!!

I finally finished this quilt. It's all scrap from Pendleton Woolen Mills. Since the fabric is a nice heavy wool I decided not to put a batting in the center. I did back it with a lightweight yellow wool that I bought at City Liquidators. It's warm and the perfect afternoon blanket to for a nap.

The row of houses seen here are on Bolton Road at Pendleton in Salford. Originally named Cheshire View (as they would have commanded a fine view from this high point) were in the way of a road reconstruction in the 1960s and were demolished. The eastbound road tunnel of Eccles Old Road emerges at about the point where these fine houses stood. The drinking fountain and horse troughs stood in front of the Woolpack Inn which was behind the photographer.
