Architect: Ned Sawyer

Year: 1981

Ned Sawyer designed this home in 1981 for Dr. Dubrow and his artistic wife, Gail. The H-shaped plan features a central atrium and was designed around mature trees already on the vacant site. Careful placement of glass minimizes solar heat gain while maximizing privacy. The triangular conversation pit is a big attraction at parties. The large studio with greenhouse-style northern light is any artist’s dream. The home is now owned by an architect/artist couple. Improvements include a new deck and art in the atrium. The home features art by Nancy Pendleton, Alan Hochman, Otto Rigan, Gary Slatter, Sherri Belassen, Frank Iberra, Many Ann Kalinsky, Joe Ray and James Cook.

From my friend A and my trip to South Carolina 2 weeks ago hunting for family cemeteries

It's that time of year when the weather starts deteriorating.

My sister asked for a Pendleton blanket for Christmas this year, and even got to pick which one she wanted. Pendleton blankets are made by the Pendleton Woolen Mills in Pendleton, Oregon. They are VERY nice wool blankets with beautiful Native American designs on them. The design on this one is adapted from the "White Raven's Moonlit Flight" painting done by Haida artist April White. According to Haida legend, through his powers as the Transformer and Trickster, Raven disguised himself and stole the Moon from the Sky Chief for humankind in exchange for his fill of fish.

I jumped right in here. I don't usually use purses but this is a favorite. I still have the roof to do for week 6.

Built 1905. The Meeting was discontinued in 1952 and the building sold to the Royal British Legion who have occupied it since then and continue to do so. it would appear that the right-hand third is a later addition.

Family, friends, fellow Soldiers and senior state government and military leaders gather to bid farewell to the Virginia National Guard's Camp Pendleton-based 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group June 22, 2014, in Virginia Beach, Va. Approximately 70 Soldiers assigned to the 529th CSSB received a mobilization order in November 2013 to enter federal active service for duty in Kuwait as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. The Soldiers are scheduled to report to Fort Hood, Texas, for approximately 30 to 45 days of mobilization training before deploying. Once they arrive in Kuwait, they are scheduled to operate as a mission command headquarters with the task of planning and executing combat sustainment support for U.S. and coalition forces in Kuwait and the surrounding region. The Soldiers are expected to spend up to 12 months of federal active duty. Governor Terry McAuliffe, Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran, Del. Scott Taylor, R-Virginia Beach, and Brig. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, attended the departure ceremony along with other state and military leaders. Soldiers from the Clifton Forge-based 29th Division Band provided music for the ceremony, cadets from the Camp Pendleton-based Commonwealth ChalleNGe Youth Academy provided the color guard and members of the Virginia Defense Force volunteered their time to assist with parking. That's one of my favourite shopping precincts in Greater Manchester, Salford Shopping City. AKA Salford Precinct

Would definitely choose this other than the girly Dumplington Centre!
