Little old lizard driving along near the downtown of an imaginary city. Study for something that I’ve not pursued further. I taped this drawing into a sketchbook, so that I wouldn’t lose it.

I haven't been able to get out and shoot in the last few days with the rain and wind, so i thought i'd post another drawing. Some of you may have already seen this one on my Imagekind site - it is another drawing i did of my daughter, depicting the pressures of being a teenager. Some days I think she just wishes she could hide from the world . . . . but then, don't we all . . .
A print of this image is available at Jacki on Imagekind
No 'celebs' here, just a couple enjoying a cuddle! Just notice how my iPad cover looks just right with the chair cover in the background, lol!

A drawing from the beginning of the month. Can't explain why I wanted to draw this - some photos just appeal.

A bunch of tulips to brighten up the sitting room for Easter. I drew them relatively quickly, but perhaps with too much pencil shading, before adding the watercolour.
portrait of a 7 year old.. She had just lost a front tooth the day of our photo shoot ..so getting the right pose was the challenge..... The drawing is pretty much per photo ..
We are fans of the Netflix series "Stranger Things" and have started watching series 4. Unlike most people, we don't tend to binge watch as we don't want to finish a whole series in one go - we like to spread it out! I used to be a Kate Bush fan (favourite album is Lionheart) and it's good to hear her single "Running Up That Hill again, which features in the series. This drawing is my tribute to her.
The drawing is still going on in my spare time (and I have quite a lot of that!). Here's one of my latest!

Inspired by granddaughter’s success in growing beans, I, in my turn, have finished a long-postponed project - a frame for the picture of the Yellow Lady's Slipper Orchid, which I color-pencilled about two years ago. Slow brooding brew, eh? But hundred per cent from scratch, with use of local material and theme 😎
One TV woman I love is Claudia Winkleman, best known for her presenting role in BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. She comes across as scatty and cookie at times, but is no airhead. I love her fast wit and am currently hooked on her latest presenting role in 'The Traitors', which is a ruthless game of trust and treachery.
Sketching together with Gérard, Fabien, Lapin, Antoine, Arnaud, Veronica and Omar. Pencil, Fineliner and Watercolour.
I actually copied this from Sasastro's photostream around a month ago. As with many drawings, something just clicks and I feel a strong urge to draw them. This woman looked like she was enjoying the sun on her face!
Another photo I found on Google Images that appealed to me.

When watching a series I often find a character I can identify with and in Stranger Things it's Joyce Byers (played by Winona Ryder), probably because she's a mother. She's much more feisty than I would ever be though and I love the humorous side of her in the series. I also enjoy reading about her personality and how the other members of the cast and crew like her and are impressed with her knowledge of the 80s, which is when Stranger Things is set. Here is my drawing of her - a bit smudgy but hopefully she's recognisable!

The Debtors' Prison was built between 1701-5 as a County Gaol. The architect is unknown but may have been William Wakefield of Huby. The side, rear and internal walls, are of brick and stone, the front wholly of stone. The original entances were on the first floor of the projecting wings, reached by flights of steps to where there are now the central windows. The left one lead to offices for the governor and then through to cells for felons, the one of the right leading to a chapel and then onto cells for debtors. One of the most famous inmates was the highwayman Dick Turpin who was tried in York and executed at the Knavesmire in 1735. Later executions were carried out in a walled yard to the rear. Later alterations included removing some of the cells to accommodate prison warders, after the building of new prison blocks on the castle site from 1835, and then for conversion to the Castle Museum from 1952. The steps on the right lead to the Assize Courts which still houses York Crown Court.

HB on 190 gsm. 16" x 11" (405 x 280 cm).
A story of chance meetings, and love; new and precious life, hope and heartbreak.
This potrait is linked to the two babies. One baby now grown, the other, his son.
While visiting Japan in early March, I saw a show in which a photographer had been asked to shoot simple original still life pictures of glassware and various artists take-offs on their choice of one of the reference sources (all extremely diverse paintings/drawings, etc.) I took pictures of the glassware that had been brought to the gallery and set up on tables. And decided to make this drawing based on my fave image.
