I'd just got back from work, it had been raining and was windy. The washing pegs had fallen off of the line but the colours of the pegs just looked amazing in the glistening rain on the slabs. Reminds me of the inside sleeve of 'Everything and Nothing by David Sylvian.
My walk to work was interrupted after about 10seocnds by this snow covered washing line. It looked fascinating with the low morning sun on it.
When the daylight is limited and 'drying weather' is in short supply there is very little action on the washing line. That's when these little pastel coloured guys find themselves at a loose end. These two have developed an interest in wrestling and are hopeful of making it to the 2012 Olympics - well, if you haven't got hope then you've got nothing!
This little fella was struggling in the wind ...it does not help when you only have one foot!! His feathers are a bit tatty as are feathers around his face, someone has had a hard life!!
The humble peg bag is back in vogue. Made from recycled sails it is a winner. Cheer yourself up when hanging out the washing.

Here i was at my sisters house taking photos around the yard. I got some good ones but i liked this one most.
I have amended the new cockerel pattern to match the colourway of the other two folk designs. I think the light blue with the little black & white seeds is my favourite.
[ ... had to check the spelling of "cockerel" twice before writing this caption! you know when a word just starts looking odd? I kept on wanting to leave out the middle "e"]
