I have had these cute, colourful pegs for the best part of 5 years now and thought I must photograph them at some point...Well today was the day! Possibly quite an apt theme for New Years' and making resolutions to do stuff..or not do stuff as the case maybe?!

I am loving my new lens, it is so awesome. I do not regret parting with the money for this quality. But I'm afraid I am not really in the mood to take lots of photos right now, which is probably good because I have a shit tonne of work to do over easter.

 

Why do I always leave the main bulk of my assignments to the last minute, WHY?

all that ribbon photography yesterday made me nostalgic for my mom...when we lived in indiana, my mother signed me up for violin lessions (i was about five). she found a wonderful japanese woman who taught children how to play via the 'suzuki method'.

 

practicing how to capture the 'essence' of the subject i am shooting...i liked the way these pegs were staggered in a crooked line....
