Virtual World: Peerless White Emperor
Reading Novel Virtual World: Peerless White Emperor at Novel Website.
Year 24XX. With several hundred years of improvements, virtual reality has become more mature. It had gradually become humanity’s second world. Socializing, working, studying and other everyday things could all be done while sleeping.
Along with the rise in virtual reality systems, virtual games also developed successfully. Additionally, with the vigorous support of the government; every season, games continued to be born, be changed, competed with each other, and be reborn.
Ye Cang is a black bellied, underachieving, 2nd year student at a city college. He appears to have been cured of his albinism yet his story is still full of mystery. In the game ‘New Age – Conviction’, he began walking the path of a professional gamer. An all-rounder knight, dark cooking, with a nasty disposition, willing to do anything. He’s slowly creating his own legend.
“Actually… instead of games, I prefer cooking and dramas” – The White Emperor

(by Ken Barton May 1987)
13 West 10th Street.
Built 1899. Story goes that the saloon was on the ground floor and a brothel on second floor.
Classical Revival and Gothic architecture.
Placed on NRHP Oct. 3, 1985---No. 85002882.
Clearly, Peerless was once a thriving town. It has several grain elevators. A big restaurant. Churches. A good size school. The problem is that when I was there most of those things seemed empty--abandoned, even. The church was overgrown. The school was clearly empty at a time when school should still have been in session. One of the elevators is falling down (though the others seem used). The big restaurant was listed for sale and seemed totally devoid of life. And there were far more abandoned homes than ones that are lived in. Peerless was very very quiet. I had to wonder what happened here, that so many people left? This place used to have plenty of amenities. But when I was there the only activity I saw was a tumbleweed blowing across main street.
"Peerless was originally a development of the Great Northern Railroad. It appears that Peerless once went by the name of Tande or Battleson, but because of the popularity of a local beer the name was changed to Peerless...Dutch Henry's Bar...is a namesake of an outlaw who roamed these parts in the late 1800s. A display of photos on the walls tells quite a bit about the history of the surrounding area. The original town, settled in 1914, was a few miles away. Like many other places in northeast Montana, the laying of the railroad bed required the town to be moved to the railroad." -travelmt.com

Peerless GT 1961 2-litre. John Gordon, James Byrnes, and Bernie Rodger got together in Warwick and came up with this GT Coupe, built of a fibreglass body mounted onto a space frame chassis with a 1,991cc Triumph TR3 engine under the bonnet. The prototype was exhibited at the 1957 Salon de Paris, and one car was entered at the 1958 Le Mans 24 hour race. Peerless took the name of a defunct American manufacturer. The Peerless GT won its class at Le Mans and came 16th overall. 325 cars were then built, but Peerless went bankrupt in 1960 and Bernie Rodger re-started it making 40 Warwick GT cars from 1960 to 1962. John Gordon later paired up with Jim Keeble to launch the Gordon Keeble car, which was a similar concept to the Peerless GT but using an Italian-designed body with an American V8 engine.

These are my supplies. I travel really light with just my Moleskine journal, a black waterproof pen, a Niji waterpen and a plastic tray that holds small pieces of Peerless water colors. I keep a small baggie for the tray of colors for when they are wet and just slip them in the front of the journal. The elastic band holds everything in place and I'm ready to go. I have painted 8 pages in my journal without replenishing the colors in the tray. Paula

When I purchased the peerless universal mount (Not cheap FYI.) they were out of the adjustable 6"-to-9" extension columns. So, do I wait a week or D.I.Y.?
One 6" x 1.5" pipe for three dollars later and I was in business again. I also purchased a flange for the ceiling and some silver spraypaint. Can you tell the difference?

Peerless Rockville was celebrating Montgomery County Heritage Days with a walking tour called "Rockville Rocks!" It was fun and very informative. Eileen, the executive director of Peerless Rockville, talked about the history of the buildings, while Jeff Nagy (I hope I got his name right) talked about the geology of the area and the building materials.
This marker commemorates General Braddock and his troops coming through Rockville in 1755, during the French and Indian War. Rockville was called "Owen's Ordinary" at the time.
Fishing used to be the pastime of kings. Not the sport of kings, nor the breakfast of champions, mainly because fishing isn’t a breakfast or –perhaps less obviously- a sport. It used to be either hard work, if you had to cast your nets to make a living, or a pastime. The pastime of kings. Or the pastime of men in general that made them feel like kings (not generals).

The Peerless, Captain Tom Barry, was an Alabama River packet running from Mobile to Montgomery, Alabama. She was built as the James T. Staples in 1908 at Mobile, Alabama and her net and gross tonnage was 365. The high pressure machinery was rated as 900 horsepower. The wooden hull was 200 x 40 x 5.1 feet. She carried a crew of 41. The Staples exploded her boilers on January 9, 1913, was partially wrecked and caused the loss of 15 lives. When rebuilt her name was changed to Peerless. In May, 1921, with Captain George Quarles, master, she hit the bridge at Demopolis on the Tombigbee River, tearing out four staterooms on the starboard side and damaging herself to the extent of $4,000. After operating for some years as the Peerless the boat was purchased by Captain Owen F. Burke, of Mobile, who changed her name to Helen Burke. The Helen Burke sank at Mobile when the shrimp pulled the oakum out of her seams in 1920. Evidently she was raised as records show a Helen Burke operating up until 1932 which is the last record. Anyway, she sank while laid up at Mobile and was dismantled., Originally built as James T. Staples; later named Helen Burke. From the John Hartford Collection (P-029).
