We located the tree of the nesting pair of Pygmy Owls yesterday. We watched her checking us out. The male was sitting outside for a bit. There was some chatter between the pair and she eventually flew out where she was greeted by her mate. The mating took place very high this time. Will return much later for the feeding when the babies hatch.

Last year, I had the privilege of visiting APCA, an NGO in Canelones, Uruguay, dedicated to cats and farm animals. APCA provides a sanctuary for feral, endangered, and abused cats, as well as farm animals rescued from mistreatment.

Some of the animals have endured cruelty, accidents, paralysis, cancer, and abandonment. When feasible, they are placed for responsible adoption.

The mission is to ensure they live a serene and comfortable life in a large, natural outdoor environment, with appropriate shelters and boundaries to keep them safe.

I spotted this grey squirrel in the pine trees as I walked across Winter Hill Golf Course on my walk. I was lucky to get this shot, they usually disappear by the time I'm ready to take the shot!
