Not the greatest shot I know, but this is taken handheld.

Portland International Airport (KPDX)

I've read that this pattern has been replaced in the main terminal, but I had to switch planes at this rinky-dink older terminal. I don't think I spent more than 15 minutes altogether on the ground in Portland. I'll have to come back another time and see it properly.

The Columbia River defines the state line between Oregon and Washington and bisects the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area. Mount Hood stands in the distance.

Bahar geldi :)

Update, Fall 2025. This tree is no longer there. It was removed a couple of years ago. Unfortunately trees get diseased and rot, and pose a danger to people. Nearly every year people die in Portland as a result of a tree falling on them, or even their car or home. It is known a whole family died when a tree fell on their car. It is scary how these things we love become such liabilities, but it is one of the facts of life. It costs a lot in $$ to remove a tree too. Recently in my neighborhood, nearly a century old Elm tree partially fell on a house. and had to be removed altogether. It was located high from the street in the neighbors back yard garden. Several men and a winch was brought in. It cost $10k to remove it, and that did not include the root stub. such is life. Insurance covered the damage to the house.

Really needs to be viewed large to see all the detail :)

Took a trip to Portland Oregon to shoot some city night shots. I almost felt like a sniper setting up the tripod hanging out on a sill of this parking garage :)

We had a really nice day in January yesterday, so took full advantage & did new things: Tilikum Crossing; the OHSU tram & the restaurant at Imperial Hotel.
