Australasian Pipit (Anthus novaeseelandiae)

This one was foraging in the recently mown grass along Sneydes Rd. today. It paused long enough for me to get a shot.

A photograph ( partial of a mural seen in January 2022 but created in 2021). Here the artist invites viewers to slow down and come together in the present moment. In Euope May 1st is a special holiday - offering lily of the valley.. Mine are not quite ready yet as our spring is colder than usual. HSS.

June 2021, Megève seems to be on a break before the summer season.

Not quite deserted, just surveyed by some tourists and locals.

Black and white accentuates this impression of emptiness while focusing attention on details of the city.

My heart goes out to everyone in the United Kingdom and all the commonwealths.

As a transplanted Scouser living in Canada brought up British, i always had the highest regard and respect for the monarchy, especially the Queen…. If i didn’t me mum would knock me about.

After a night of massive thunderstorms, this morning brought news of an horrendous accident on our local rail link to Glasgow. So a small offering here for all those caught up in both the devastating rail crash and the local flooding. As Aberdeen begins a second week of lockdown, Aberdeenshire is feeling quite battered!

Forgive me if I don't manage to comment ... I'll be back in a day or two.
