Liebe Flickr-Freunde, ich nehme eine kurze Auszeit, in der ich keine neuen Bilder auf Flickr einstellen werde. Ich habe eine Reihe von Projekten am Laufen, die meine Zeit stark beanspruchen. Mitte Oktober sollte ich wieder soweit sein, mich zu melden.

Dear Flickr friends, I´m taking a short break. Some demanding projects need my full attention. I will therefore not publish any new works on Flickr until mid October.

i was having a usual kind of day:

writing out bills, reminding jazz to eat his snack at the kitchen table and not on the carpet, laundry, recycling, making a grocery list.

then i went to get the mail.

and,

found this small snake. wounded but still warm with life.

so,

i put the usual on pause, and just held it until it was no longer warm.

and,

it was if i could suddenly hear the blood rushing through my veins, right under the surface of my skin. the music was holy, and so comfortingly familiar.

L'oeuvre en bronze représente une femme noire tenant la flamme olympique et un rameau d'olivier, elle est entourée de sièges au design s'inspirant des différents continents. La sculpture olympique fait partie du programme Olympic Art Visions du Comité international olympique (CIO), elle incarne le multiculturalisme de la France et de sa capitale. Après les Jeux, elle restera installée à demeure dans le Jardin Charles Aznavour, au bas des Champs-Elysées.
