Patterns is the weekly Flickr Lounge theme. My first group are indoor patterns - really patterns on patterns to make the images more interesting, I hope..
We’ve put together some looks using prints inspired by Mexican, Native American, and other Indigenous textiles. These prints are bold, colorful, and just what you need to spice up your look! Another great thing about them is that they are timeless, from our vintage department to our contemporary department, you can see these prints on all kinds of clothing and accessories, whether it’s the trim on a vintage skirt, or woven patches on an 80’s fanny pack!
the last of the ice on the lake
it sparkled in the sunlight
i stood in the wind and watched
how the waves changed the patterns of the ice
as the water rolled in the ice crystals turned the color of the water
as the water rolled back the ice crystals were white and sparkled
again in the sun
the last of the ice on the lake

There are many reasons for lava to cool into basalt shapes, but I haven't seen a book or exhibit yet, that really explains each pattern....If anyone has an explanation for this particular one, I'd enjoy hearing it.
