Campers designed their own animals, realistic or imaginative, and then made a pattern. This was then cut out of wool felt and hand sewn.

This lovely baby girl is teaching me how to craft my own patterns ! There pretty much aren't any made for the Baby Disney Princess dolls, so I figured I'd try, and if it didn't work, I'd adapt something. Turns out, I can do it !

 

The first trial wasn't quite right, this is the second. Still have to tighten up the neckline and move the shoulder seams, but I like how it turned out.

 

What's funny is, I more or less freehanded the dress, and altered some of it on the fly. She also has panties that I slightly changed from a ready-made pattern for another doll. The dress took about 40 minutes. Darn panties took over an hour ! At least I got to use recycled elastic...
