These patterns were created by placing my favourite vase on a shallow plate with ridges on it. The resulting wavy lines were most attractive and altered as the vase was turned. The glass sides of the vase are quite thick.
I made this card as part of this month's Hero Arts contest "Try Something New". I've had this "Blossoms" stamp set for a long time, and have NEVER used it!!! I also have a brand new embossing folder (Darice "Damask" 5'x7") that I'd been itching to use. AND, I rarely stamp on patterned paper, so that's something fairly new for me, too!
This card was inspired by several of the beautiful cards Lin has made using the "Blossoms" stamp set on patterned paper. Thanks for the inspiration Lin!!

I really liked the patterns, depth and dimension the reeds and grasses hold. Someone looking at the photo the other day said they thought it would make an interesting jigsaw puzzle. I think it just might.
This Common (or Purple) Salsify was seen while walking around Swan Lake, in Victoria, B.C. Imported from Europe it was grown for both its flower, and its edible roots and shoots. The variety we knew in Saskatchewan was yellow, and we referred to it as Goat's Beard.
Testing a new pattern design. I'm still pretty new to repeating patterns, this one is experimenting with diamonds.
I used a combination of beadline and boxes for this one. Here is a link to where I used this pattern www.flickr.com/photos/93814875@N08/8971531536/ Please let me know if you have seen this pattern anywhere else.
The Color Curves
