Redux 2019 > July 15: Patterns in Nature

"One can speak poetry just by arranging colors well"....Vincent van Gogh

Taken on a morning walk on the beach. A beautifully coloured piece of seaweed had washed up. It was like a piece of art waiting to be seen

“As people, we love pattern. But interrupted pattern is more interesting.” - Jay Maisel

We have had several days of blue skies and warm afternoon light, so we did a lot of walking on the beach. With no snow, we saw many patterns in the sand. I took my time to look for something interesting while soaking up the sun. Now we are under another winter storm warning. It is a good time to sit at the computer again and share some of my beach scenes. Even our weather is going through a series of interrupted patterns this winter.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

MESQUITE FLAT SAND DUNES - DEATH VALLEY CALIFORNIA

Forest reflection drawing patterns over the deep green water of Bethmale Lake.

For the group #MacroMondays Theme: #PatternsInNature

Very artistic patterns created by a small insect that bores into the bark of trees digging tunnels into the soft surface layers of the trunk. This tree, a Sycamore, died and after I felled and logged it the bark fell away revealing these patterns on the wood.

Photographed outside in natural daylight conditions. No processing was added to the photograph but brightness, focus and contrast were all tweaked slightly to highlight the hardwood grain.

Macro Mondays: Patterns in nature

The edge of the stream had so many frozen patterns, and so much variety, making me a happy photographer. Lots of photos to work on!

Holding Pattern the little birds were hanging out on this branch waiting to get a spot at the bird feeder on this snowy day in North Carolina.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas

A long exposure at the beach yesterday evening. No Neowise, but a nice sunset. The patterns in the sand are always fascinating. Have a nice Wednesday!
