A miniature basketball that my dog loves to play with. The orange and white help to create a distinct pattern. The diffused light and gradual shading gave it some texture and appeal.

These patterns were produced by "Pattern service TASTE" in Czechoslovakia before 1990. TASTE was the monopoly or at least one of the gigantic companies focusing on fashion. As there was no private sector and hardly any connection to western novelties, fashion suffered despite these companies employed several good designers. No wonder the envelopes are just roughly designed but in the course of years I started to like them just for their "pretty ugliness". These patterns were on the sale in a small haberdasher´s store on the corner for the original price. The shopkeeper warned me the patterns were very old.
