These are pictures of the pattern pieces I created after I ripped the original bag apart. The top piece is a binding that goes around the top of the bag and it holds the inside and the outside of the bag together. The bottom left piece is the pattern for the lining of the bag (cut on a fold) and the exterior of the bag cut on a bare edge so to create a French-style seam, the small center piece is for the pocket flap, the piece on the lower right is for the pocket. These are the only four pieces for this bag. The strap, the side strips and the back strip are all created and shaped by cutting strips of fabric and then creating the faux-bandolier effect. It looks great even though it took a while to figure out. I used a similar technique to get this as I did for the wedding dress I made in July. It just may be a technique that shows up more often in the future.
Opposite the temple, as I waited for the group to come out of the allergy-inducing smoke, I noticed this building with the black geometric patterns on a light cream colour.
Clouds fully cleared out today which lead to a nice first day of spring. This morning I got a shot of the final clouds clearing out. Nice simple mix of patterns in this.

I love sequence, pattern, grid, square, column, row, and something like this, and I felt very comfortable with this tree. It has the pattern of life and vitality. For my work (designing & programming), I usually care about them very elaborately, so maybe, I got easy about this tree. I am always searching for them in a composition, but I'm still struggling with that.

Estamos obsesionados con los patrones repetitivos, es un proyecto en proceso.
Figgy patterns Tee for two "dress" for my niece...made out of Hannah Montana fabric that has been curing in my stash. Added a little bit of length to the sleeve as I wanted a bit of underarm...then cut off about 1.5" in length as sized up to a 6 for my 5yo niece. Neckline seemed to stretch out a bit as the material was a fairly stable jersey so didn't "retract" like a rib knit would do. Overall loved the pattern and can't wait to use more of my Figgy patterns in my collection.
