This use of the half-arches is based off of headlight bricks instead of modified bricks with studs on the sides, as were the similar patterns in the courtyard. (I didn't have any white bricks modified with 2 studs, which I would have needed.) But the slight difference (headlight bricks recess in 0.2 studs' length changes the angle of the teardrop opening, which only leaves room for one round plate on the end of the cone, instead of two. With this background it's not as noticeable, but it's definitely less perfect than the other way.

Today's series is all about patterns we find them everywhere and I find them very interesting, pleasing, calming and stimulating. They are a very visual and important part of our lives and can be found in nature as well as things made by mankind. We are surrounded by them and often are unaware of them as such.

Pattern is made for european size 37 (USA - 6,5, UK - 4, Australia - 5), but it is very easy to make it in size you need, in pattern I explain how.
These slippers are made with 100% cotton worsted-weight yarn, but I am sure they will look wonderful with any other yarn.

6th plate daguerreotype of an older woman sitting on a nice floral couch. She holds a small thick book in her hand and gazes pensively at the camera. I like the beaded necklace she has on and her dress with little leaves on them.
Pattern Play Day 1
Today is very challenging for me in that we were to use different scales of pattern paper to use on a card. First I used Neenah Solar White card stock as my base. Then I picked out a large paper and medium paper along with the reddish paper from MME-lime doodle paper pad. Used my spellbinder circle dies along with my fiskars heart punch for embellishments. I also used some Martha Stewart twine in red and tied a bow. A glue dot is under the bow to keep in place. This card is very busy for me but the white circles do help tone it down a bit. Oh, the red border was punched from a EK Success border punch as well. Enjoy, I am certainly am attending this class. I find paper very challenging to use and this is what I needed to get me out of the horror that I feel trying to put cards together.
This intrigued me as soon as I saw it.
It is, amazingly, a dress.
If only I knew a woman who could pull it off...
Build with Friends
With simulated physics and gravity, Patterns offers a new twist on 3D multi-player sandbox building games. Create your very own 3D universe, complete with powerful crafting tools, surprising shapes (triangles, anyone?), crazy creatures and even explorable planets.
Harvest and build with friends a variety of substances including ice that slides, fruit that bounces and materials that levitate. Whether you're building bridges to traverse chasms or towers that reach high into the sky, Patterns is your universe to shape.
Share your Creations
Invite friends and explore with the new multi-player option. Put your imagination and ingenuity to the test as you and your friends create simple or complex structures from elemental substances. Your formations may result in unexpected behaviors -- some creations will fall, while others may orbit. Share your creations and upload your planets to The Cosmos then download new worlds to explore or re-make as your own.

A cuddly little owl wearing a stripy pullover.
This is my prototype for the pattern that won a competition to design an amigurumi in the UK crochet magazine, Inside Crochet. I made the final design a little chubbier and simplified the striping on the pullover.
He has now been claimed by my son, who also came up with the name!
