A pathway through the tall prairie grass of Windsor, Ontario’s Malden Park leads down the hill of the former garbage dump turned nature conservation area as the sun rises on an early May morning.
The difference between a path and a road is not only the obvious one. A path is little more than a habit that comes with knowledge of a place. It is a sort of ritual of familiarity. As a form, it is a form of contact with a known landscape. It is not destructive. It is the perfect adaptation, through experience and familiarity, of movement to place; it obeys the natural contours; such obstacles as it meets it goes around.

Just arrived at top of zig zag path.
With the roof of the incline in decay,not safe at all with barriers to stop people going there.
Love to see the leaves gradually transition to shades of yellow, orange and the occasional red as we move deeper into autumn in northern Minnesota.

Couldn't resist a detour to work in Birmingham yesterday, with the large amount of fog we had in Warwickshire.
I went to this tree lined avenue last year, but was too late for the leaves as they were all on the floor. Thankfully this year a few remainded which I could use to brighten up this scene.
