En la provincia de Zamora, entre Rionegro y Mombuey, el camino es difÃcil de ver, apenas se intuye.
Invisible path
Between Rionegro and Mombuey (Zamora, Spain), its hard to see the Saint James Way.

The path
Starting to post my new works from Thailand with The Path - new step in my photography. All previously shot pictures are moved to archive and I'm starting this album anew.
On the picture - the path to Huai To waterfall from national park in Krabi, Thailand.

Tip-toe'ing through the glorious unknown species of "weeds" ( flowers ) gracing my path from house to parked car each day for about a week in August; I stop to admire and leave them be, when many a dim bulb of a horticultural fascist would trample or uproot and discard them to wither and die.

From the fog series of December 21, 2006
This is the Tow Path between Hammersmith and Barnes, Hammersmith Bridge is behind me and the fogged up River Thames is to the right (if you look carefully, you should be able to see the other bank).
On this side of the Thames, there aren't any embankments between the Thames and the Tow Path (for a few miles anyway) and though flooding is a serious concern, this path was also scary to photograph in the fog . . .
My first walk of 2026, delayed mainly due the constant wet weather and a chest infection. Started easy with local 9.55km walk from home through Kingswood, Penn Pond, Common Wood and back through Hazlemere.

I took the shortcut through the woods today.
It was cold and there was a layer of ice underneath every inch of snow. I had my cleat-soled overboots on, knowing that the way would be slippery. I went out walking because I could and it's been too dang long since I took a walk outdoors. This winter has been a doozy.
Last night, I noted that the weather forecast for the rest of the week would not be good for a trek outdoors. Today, it may have been in the single digits for temperature, but there was no wind. That's a first for quite a while. The winds have been terrible this season. So, I figured I could handle the cold, and I did. I still haven't found a good pair of gloves that keep my hands warm.
Taking this short cut has me on a very narrow path that borders a drainage ditch. If I fell, it would be about a four foot drop. With my ice-cleats on, and my trekking poles in hand, I felt confident that I could traverse without a fall. Seeing all the boot-prints of those who passed before me also was a good sign. I made it, and was soon back in my warm car.
It was a good day for a walk.
It sure looks cold with the storm clouds above,
And the path is slippery, do not push and shove.
But this was a warm summer Cronulla morning,
And the path was slippery, you could fall without warning!
