Back to something a lot closer to home, I captured this one last week, forgot I had it. It's still autumn in Rosalind Park!

Taken with a Canon EOS 50D converted to infrared 720nm.
Holme Wood, Loweswater, Cumbria, England - 27th June, 2018
Down low with the leaves again. It's a look and style that's really appealing to me this autumn.

Today i want to share another one of the very few forest shots taken so far this year.It shows a small not very frequented path deeper into the forest photographed on a overcast evening back in late April.I shared a very similar shot taken along this path back in 2015 as part of my "A Year in the Forest" Series but im alot happier with the new one.
Took this as a technical challenge to isolate the subject from its background, quite pleased with how it worked out, though if I were to revisit I'd take out my penknife and snip off that foreground leaf
This 22mm f/2 crop sensor lens has become my favourite, love the results it gives, think I'll have to invest in it's FF equivalent for my SLR.

A late November Sunday ... all foliage has sailed from the trees ... and is brown and a rustle on the path.
From near the summit of Mt. Washington in NH. This is the Crawford Path/Appalachian Trail looking down to the Lake of the Clouds hut. We would follow this path to the hut and then turn right and taking a steeper descent back to our car.
...well, not quite on the moon, but in a lunar landscape on the Canary Island of Lanzarote. Path in Timanfaya National Park. This may only be entered on a guided hike with a national park guide. You learn a lot about volcanism and move through a spectacular landscape, the barrenness of which is reminiscent of the moon.
