The 5th annual Pumpkin Patch at Fancy Decor is here! Peruse the many shapes, sizes and colors of pumpkins, and pick out your favorites to take home!
Some new stacked and crated pumpkins have been created this year, too!
Back by the stream there is a large area I pretty much let go, and the wild violets take over this time of year. The dandelions actually look kind of pretty dotting the purple with yellow, and even look nice when they go to seed with a litle rain and a macro lens. The water drops on these dandelion seeds are refracting the purple violet behind it.

CSX C670-26 begins its assault of the “west slope” of. Sand Patch Grade just west of Meyersdale. This train would be powered by a duo of SD70MACs, the trailing of which looked reasonably fresh.
Nothing like a autumn walk through the pumpkin patch :) Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend.

This shot is unusual as it was taken midday. Most activity for almost any mammal is around dawn and dusk.
Finishing up my last files from Horicon Marsh for the year and worked on some Clay-colored Sparrows. Like the way this shot illustrates the cheek-patch, definitive in IDing CCSPs, and also shows the beauty of its split-crown.

Nancy: -Hello I'm "Nancy in the city". You're sooo cute!
Patch: -Hehee... Hi! I'm Patch the Brave Knight. You look like Godzilla with your big legs and mini arms!
Nancy: -How rude!
Patch: -But it's a compliment! I love godzillas, I even have a baby one as a pet. He's over there -Yooohoo Zillo! Say Hi to Miss Nancy-, I'm teaching him how to chase asian hornets. They are a real threat to biodiversity, you see.
Nancy: -That's cool! What a great Brave Knight you are! Can you help me find the nearest city?
Patch: -I'm afraid I'm really bad at geography, Milady. But I can tell that you are on the famous DuDidier street, it goes from here to there, both inside and outside.
Nancy: -Ah. I think I heard that already.
Patch: -I love your outfit! It would look great on Zillo. Can I borrow it sometime?
Nancy: -¡absolutamente no!

I'm so fond of Patch the Brave Knight that I can't bring myself to change her outfit. I might need another Patch who will be wearing it all the time (and possibly build an army of brave knights lol). After all we never know when we'll need the help of a Brave Knight.
Patch and I were enjoying the relaxing sounds of a light rain. (Heavy rain and she's hiding under furniture!)
Playing with a new camera I got from my son. A little Canon EOS M3 mirrorless body and interchangeable lenses. Manual functions. I need to get a viewfinder for it though...not one to look at a screen to take a shot.
Thanks for taking a look
Large tanager with a hefty bill. Adult males are completely red; immature males are dull yellow-olive with blotchy patches of red. Females are variable in colour, ranging from pale dull yellow to brighter orange. Can be confused with female Scarlet Tanager; Summer has a longer, paler bill and less contrast between wing and body colour. Also compare with dustier-looking, stouter-billed Hepatic Tanager. Breeds in mature forests, favouring mixed deciduous and pine in the southeastern U.S. and riparian corridors in the western U.S. and northern Mexico. Extensive winter range from Mexico to Bolivia, where it can be found in any wooded area. Often gives a short, descending rattle “pit-a-tuck.”
