My neighbor's horse. I feed her when he goes away. She's very sweet.

Sometimes it feels good when you set the alarm at 5 AM...

A pretty butterfly with a bright yellow to orange border around the dark brown to black shoulder patches and a dark outer border on the wings. Underneath the wings shows the same basic patter but usually paler.

A load of Pennsylvania coal eases down the Sand Patch grade around the horseshoe curve at Mance, PA, lead by CSXT 373. It's past peak here at Mance, as evident by a few bare spots on the hillside, but the color was just gorgeous. Few places can compare to Pennsylvania in the fall.

This photo of Sam & Patches popped up on my memories on my iPhone yesterday. It brought a tear to my eye.

We re-homed brother & sister in 2014. They were just 5 years old.

The people who had them before us never told us when they were no longer wanted.

They were loved and wanted at our house.

Unfortunately Sam passed away in January 2022, and Patches in August 2022.

They were two beautiful and brilliant dogs. We loved them to bits. They went everywhere with us.

We love Herbie just the same way, and we got him when he were 9 weeks old in January 2023.

Later this year we plan to re-home a brother or sister for him.

This photo was taken on a new year break in Wales, just as we arrived at Dinas Dinlle beach.

We were a little early for fall color, but I really enjoyed photographing this scene.

Patched - Both the sides and the roof of this old barn look to have been patched together over the years. It looks like there is more patching to do if this one is to survive.

The Blue Patch strong broken clouds create some odd colors in this beautiful sunset in North Carolina.

Heute mittag hatte ich ein paar Minuten Zeit um im Wald herumzuspazieren. Da brach die tiefstehende Sonne durch das Blätterdach und beleuchtete diese kleine Szene.

Every year, we take the kids to the same pumpkin patch I went to as a kid - complete with hayrides, corn mazes, trains, & lots of mud. But this year, all we were missing was the mud! Oregon has blessed us with such beautiful weather this late in October, & we are taking full advantage of it! All this beauty - basically in our own backyard!

Patch ...

Someone did a rather "sloppy" job with this one.

How old this door is I've no idea but they obviously don't want to lose it. # cotswolds
