First time going to the pumpkin patch, Pumpkins R Us, in Warwickshire. The pumpkins on offer were varied and of great quality and so fantastic to carve.
The displays, shop and food van were so-so and would need a rethink.
At that time of my secondary school, the school gave out less than 20 each of these patches to the college and boarder prefects. It was truely an honor, and fine memories.

Took the kids to Miller's Gardens for a hay ride to the pumpkin patch and then to Leeds Farm for the carnival that is..
Do you remember Nick, the enthusiastic potato farmer? For years and years, he used to kidnap old sprouting potatoes from my compost bin and planted them secretly in our garden. Shortly after, a happy potato plant would spraw among my blooming lilies and iris, defended tooth and nail by the young farmer. Another six weeks later he brought in the rich harvest of five or six (mostly greenish and therefore inedible) tubers. :-D
This year, Potato Nick became his own patch of ground in our garden. From the planting of two dozen potatos (scrounged off my kitchen and from our neighbors) to watering and weeding to harvest and eating he passed through all stages of potato farming. This time it was an efficient harvest - 7 kilos. More than enough for boiled potatoes, rosemary oven potatoes, a tasty stew and even a bowl of the best and nicest potatoes for our generous neighbours.

T-Patch (36th Infantry Division)
The insignia consisting of an olive drab "T" on a light blue flint arrowhead was adopted by the 36th Division in 1918. Light blue is the infantry branch color. The flint arrowhead represents the State of Oklahoma (once the Indian Territory) and the "T", Texas and commonly called the "T-Patch
This was a shelter at the Waipi'o Valley lookout. I just liked the patchwork painting job and the choice of earth tones throughout. Artistry at work.
Patches for Space Up, an "unconference" held around the world. Participants plan the entire conference on arrival, there are few planned events. The LA conference took place earlier this month!
Patches is a young female Black/White Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier/Australian Callte Dog Mix.

Patches is really growing. She loves to eat grass, leaves, and anything else she can find in the yard.

Dan Brinkman and the Party Animals brought another fun program to the library with Patch the Pumpkin!
Patch on the knee of Ingrid's favorite jeans---patching still in progress. The patch is a piece of chintz, circled by a beaded headband that had begun to shed beads. In this photo, the colors are too pale and the beads don't look right.
