Bordered Patch (Chlosyne lacinia)

As I was checking the Gregg's Mistflowers for more Queens or Monarchs I discovered this mating pair of Bordered Patch butterflies. I usually don't find the Bordered Patch visiting the Mistflowers for nectar, but then I don't think they were interested in nectar anyway.

After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.

My friends cat Patch. Such an attention whore.

Patches on top of the blinds watching the critters. Only she can get up there.

They just ran a gas line into the kitchen (yay gas stove), and the wall has been patched and textured, but not repainted.

This small patch was made in linen cloth. I use paper for the decoupage and liquid plastic for its conservation.

the final touch was made by hand with needle and thread.

Measures: 2.7 x 2.3 in.
