Thyme Patch Park is a tiny jewel nestled in a west Ballard neighborhood that combines the best elements of a neighborhood park and community garden. The park includes a P-Patch, Master Gardener demonstration gardens, benches, lawn area and walkways. The entrance features a hand-crafted steel handrail by artist Chuck Nafziger.

The Pumpkin Patch is located on Sauvie's Island just 15 minutes northwest of Portland, OR. From Portland, take Highway 30 west towards Scappoose to the Sauvie Island bridge. After crossing the bridge, circle to the left and loop back under the bridge, following Gillihan Road to the farm. Head straight 2 miles until you see our signs.
Market and U-pick: 9 AM - 6 PM, June through October.
Pumpkin Cottage Giftshop: 10am - 6pm.
Patio Cafe: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 10am - 6pm.
The Maize: September-October.

KHOST PROVINCE, Afghanistan -- Lt. Col. David Kramer, the commander of Task Force Tigershark, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, awards combat patches to the Soldiers of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment during a ceremony held at Forward Operating Base Salerno here Aug. 13. Co. B, a National Guard unit based out of Colorado and Nebraska, is attached to TF Tigershark in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
We pulled off at a little scenic view on our way to Forks, WA, and there was a patch of little daisies by the edge of the lake. I couldn't help myself, so I took quite a few photos of them with the mountains and lake in the background. Below is a photo of the rainbow we saw on our way back from Forks. It's kind of hard to see, but it's on the right side above the closest mountain.

This was a Burns Bros truck stop and briefly a TA when Burns Bros was sold to TA sometime in the past 10 years or so.
It operated as TA for only a brief time period before becoming independent. The TA branding was all removed exposing the old Burns Bros branding.
There is still a TA (also a former Burns Bros) 30 miles away from this place.
Kids from all over Dedham came out to take part in Foam day at the Dedham pool this past Wednesday. The Dedham fire department filled the field at the Dedham pool with foam for kids to play in and give them a fun way to cool off during a hot summer day
