Not every picture taken on a train chase is a train!!! A most visually delightful patch of lilies with some daisies thrown in, were next to the car where we parked to take pictures of the train. Orange is my most favorite color.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - There were still patches of snow near Red Grade Road. Just above 7,000 feet the road was blocked.
These two patches were given to me by Neil Andrews (your source for M-05 and M-93 in Swtizerland).
The patch on the left with the two yellow rifles crossed is a battalian insignia and worn by fighting troops.
The patch on the right was worn by supply personnel who trailed the velofahrrern in Pingauers and other supply vehicles. This support group provided meals, mechanical support, munisions stocks, camp needs, etc...
The velofahrrer carried weapons and the most basic equipment for the field with the bulk of their loads being weapons.
My patchwork arrived in Denmark in time for the party. Julie hung it in her loft, and I'm in love with the view from behind with the light coming through!

Patch of ginseng encircled by welded wire for protection from deer browse. A coffee is buried in the soil around the root system of the large plant to protect from voles. The fruit has fallen early for these plants leaving the red fruit stalks. Photo taken by Katie Trozzo on medicinal producer Dave Carman's forest farm (August 22, 2013). More information can be found and questions answered about this and other forest farming products at (www.extension.org/forest_farming).
Day 284 of 365 (Friday) - After reviewing my images of the day, as I fed baby, none of them seemed to carry any meaning for me. He fed for so long his nappy leaked, as did my "other side". Fortunately it was just before bath time. I headed up to the bath and decided to get a quick shot of my top, complete with wet patches. I lay it on the ground and baby decided it would be the perfect place to sit. As he grinned happily up at me it filled in the story for me, it may not be glamorous, but having a well fed happy baby more than makes up for it. Since becoming a mother I've got used to various stains gathering on my clothes from the children during the day, but these wet patches will soon enough no longer be on my clothes. I am glad to have captured them.
