For those curious: I used one strobe synced to the camera by PC cable. The strobe (an old SB24), had a Lumiquest II mini softbox attached. The whole thing was on a stand and placed on the sink and aimed at the ceiling on a slight angle and manually set for 1/2 power. The sink is camera right at the top of the photo. Oh yeah.. I stood on the bathtub to get the shot.
If you're a biker, then you have probably heard of The Cabbage Patch, a popular hangout during the motorcycle events here in the Daytona Beach area. The Cabbage Patch, out near the New Smyrna Speedway, is one of the biggest draws, though you'd never know it to look at the place! This is a place where people toss down a few beers and watch cole slaw wresting. It's definitely a down and dirty biker bar, but also a favorite of locals.
I don't normally post up photos from the airplane window. I was on my way to New York City, flying with Virgin Atlantic. This is Canada, I love the patches of snow. Taken with the good ol iPhone.

I've been messing around with my new polaroid land camera a lot lately. It's taken me longer than usual to get used to this little camera. After messing up an entire roll of film, I got handle of pulling the film out of the camera.
I went to a pumpkin patch in Carnation, WA the other day. It was a beautiful fall day so I couldn't resist bring along the camera.
I'm still trying to figure out the best way to carry the images around without messing them up. For this one, I folded the image back together with the negative and the emulsion left some marks on the image. Oh well, now I know!
Out patching today....same road, same potholes.

Patched SP 6318 trails a power move heading south in Joliet, IL. These patch units are fast dwindling on the UP as UP has been quickly painting units.
Went to The Pumpkin Patch in Redlands with my sister Elvia and took the girls with me! It was hot but they seem to have enjoyed themselves! ^_^

The Wisconsin Integrated Cropping Systems Trials (WICST) Project was initiated in 1989 to address issues of sustainability of alternative farming systems. The hub of the WICST project activities are two crop rotation trials at Arlington Agricultural Research Station and the Lakeland Agricultural Complex in Walworth County. These trials compare three cash grain and three forage-based production systems. The production systems vary in crop diversity and use of purchased inputs. most of my garden is waning, some parts looking a bit sad. except for one bed of wildflowers, planted from seed in may. these little beauties are a patch of happiness.
This is Patch, the daughter of Lily. She's very shy and skittish and will not do anything without Lily. Patch and Lems get along fine and Patch follows Lems around everywhere. Lems is not kept with either of them though. Really Patch acts like a baby, even though she too is bigger than Lemons. She isn't as big a food lover as Lems is, but she is a much louder squeaker :)

Bordered Patch (Chlosyne lacinia) was a new butterfly for me. I managed a single photo in the garden of our temporary TX hill country home-from-home. Apparently it manages to survive through the year further south towards the Mexican border and actually can be found through Central America down as far as Argentina.
