Since, I dont have any cake order for this week..I took the chance to do these sugar paste project...

Who would have thought that belacan paste and cakes would be found so far from South East Asia?
I am getting interested in tracing how cultural influences and cooking styles move from one part of the world to another. Obviously the Portuguese got hooked on this pungent paste in South East Asia and brought it with them to Macau.
