This is the image that AMBUSH Blog 'borrowed' from my blog and credited themselves for the image & text. When I was last in NYC, ASVP was UP ALL OVER NYC...it looks like he's in Chicago this week. Bless Jesus, because Chicago needs ASVPs Style! Wheat pastes in Chi-town are almost non-existent.
saw this when i was driving by and parked to snap a shot of it. it was near the "good girls go to paris" shop by oslo sushi bar. when i was about to cross the street i was stopped by a production manager because they were shooting a scene for a movie. found out that the movie is called "crave" with ron perlman (hellboy) and edward furlong (american history x). could even see edward furlong about 20 yards away. its interesting to keep running into these movie sets.
Henna paste on skin. I don't usually take photos of paste on, because I like to see the results of my work, but in this case, it was fun doing these henna-heads.

had a wicked wekend last week in basel, so much paste, paint and screening to be donw its just not possible to fit it in to some many little days.

this was my sons grooms cake. He loves fishing. His wife , his bakkie (pick up)and western province rugby. I try to add all of this to the cake. His wife works for a car company and she loves speed. My son always get a sun glass tan whenever he gos fishing that why he has such a red face.
The cartouches are symbols for my daughter's names, and the cat is Bastet, Egyptian goddess.
The concept was to create an elbow to fingertip henna design but instead of the standard hindi, to create patterns taken from Egyptian art.
