Tedi & Kivu with Weedzor

Cupcakes and buttercream made with vanilla bean paste, filled with chocolate ganache. My first ever time using vanilla bean paste.

Cupcakes were good, but that buttercream was way too sweet, it made my teeth hurt.

Recipes from here, but I used my own favorite ganache recipe.

Bloater Paste jars at Tilbury's 'Clinker Beach'. It appears bloaters were whole, cold smoked herrings and bloater paste is the same, made paste, as you might expect.

These keep reminding me of roots of teeth splinted with wire! I used soft pastel colors blended with translucent Kato clay to created these tender conical shapes. Once cured, I used gilders paste in bronze, iris blue and red to provide depth and a bit of fun.
