I’m Lauren(@sharp-force-trauma), I work part time as a receptionist for student accommodation, and spend the rest of my time boxing.

-What do you identify as?

I identify as queer, I find it so much simpler to describe myself as that than breaking my sexual and romantic attraction into different categories. Being LGBT gets easier as I’ve got older and found more LGBT people to be around; when you’re in school, you can’t be fully out or out at all. There’s still a lot of issues surrounding the LGBT community, there’s still homophobia and there’s still divide in the actual community towards bisexuals, asexuals, and trans people. I’m glad I can be openly queer, I don’t feel the same fear I did as a teenager to be who I am, but there is always that worry of being rejected from the community when I’m in a heterosexual relationship’

the photo dates back to the late seventies if i remember correctly. apart from regularly supporting the good music in pretoria i took some pix for a local newspaper 'oggendblad' as a part time photographer during my school and varsity years. found these pix in a box a few weeks ago. glad to see the band still exists. rock on!

I spotted this 1970's 4x4 Dodge Custom 200 crew cab pickup in Jay, Florida. At first glance I thought this one was ex-military, but upon closer inspection it appears to be a civilian model with a do-it-yourself camo paint job.

I wish the lighting had been better so I could have gotten a nicer photo.

More than 20,000 full-time and part-time students will eventually attend the new consolidated DIT college campus on the site of the former St Brendan’s Hospital by 2020. The Campus is currently served by two new tram stops [Grangegorman and Broadstone/DIT] but I suspect that the Grangegorman stop is the one that the majority of students will use.

Local residents fear that the area will become overwhelmed by students, who would account for 60 per cent of the population in the Grangegorman area especially as apartment blocks for up to 10,000 students are currently under construction.

On Thursday, August 27, Stevenson University’s Office of Career services held a Part-time Job Fair. During the fair, students were able to network with a diverse group of local employers and Stevenson faculty and staff to learn about a variety of job opportunities.
