Three iamges that I found complementary.

I am obsessed with this architecture.

I have just realised that this is the 5000th photograph I have uploaded to Flickr since starting on 22nd Jan. 2007.

As at midnight yesterday (22nd Nov.2009) I have had a grand total of 140,168 hits on my photos, stream and sets.

Thanks to all of you who have looked at my pictures and particular thanks to those of you who are interested and kind enough to comment regularly on what I put here. I never cease to be amazed at how generous you all (mostly total strangers) have been.

On a quiet corner at the western end of Boulevard Haussmann stands a statue of the man for whom the boulevard is named. Between 1853 and 1870, as Prefect of the Seine, Baron G.E. Haussmann was Napoleon III's chief planner for the city - the man who made Paris Paris.
