I have just realised that this is the 5000th photograph I have uploaded to Flickr since starting on 22nd Jan. 2007.
As at midnight yesterday (22nd Nov.2009) I have had a grand total of 140,168 hits on my photos, stream and sets.
Thanks to all of you who have looked at my pictures and particular thanks to those of you who are interested and kind enough to comment regularly on what I put here. I never cease to be amazed at how generous you all (mostly total strangers) have been.
The place des Vosges (formerly Place Royale) was Paris's first planned residential square, built 1605-1612 to the designs of Baptiste du Cerceau for Henri IV.
