Opening Illustration for LA Weekly's "Parent Trigger" issue. Basically a new Californian law gave parents of McKinley Elementary school the ability to take over the failing school and fire teachers and possibly set up a charter school. The teachers had no idea what was going on until THIS issue came out! I tried showing the law from the teachers' perspectives as well as the parents'.

Teacher Perspective = Power Hunger, Blood Thirsty, Angry Parents coming for them.

On May 18 more than 200 parents and family members attended the 2019 Parents Recognition Lunch at The Loft at 350, sponsored by the Parents Fund for Student Life and Leadership. The event celebrates the support Seton Hall students receive from their parents and families.
