Photos taken from my 3 day alphagraph workshop in Metz, France. The workshop took place at ESAL Metz art school with 12 students. The basic setup was this :
DAY 1 - explore letter forms with a new digital tool.
DAY 2 - laser cut and make the letters
DAY 3 - print with a printing press
alphagraph is a small parametric tool developed in Processing for exploring letter forms. More can be read at the following address:

Another workshop of this kind had been conducted at ESAD Amiens in March 2016. Further details about this on the website workshop-lettrine-01.esad-amiens.fr/
This is a parametric shutter and pinhole clamp designed to be fastened onto a small coffee can (espresso-sized) or similar. Used with sheet film or photographic paper, this kind of pinhole camera needs to be loaded (in the DARK) with fresh film or paper for every exposure.
Mount the shutter on the cap for a classic anamorphic pinhole camera.
The tripod mounts are pending as of these uploads.

I've just added a tightness parameter to both the 2D & 3D versions of the Spline classes in toxiclibs.org. This parameter controls how interpolated vertices along the curve are computed and essentially gives you indirect control over the position/displacement of the control point handles to create a large variety of outcomes. I find the negative values especially exciting...
The patch is only available via SVN right now, but will be released as part of toxiclibscore-0014 in the next few days. Follow me on twitter for updates!

Now it's much easier to understand how high/wide your ramp will be. You can select between a male, female and kid skater.
Playing with Sine and Cosine functions. All of my postings are single object drawn by a pair of parametric equations. I'm imposing the constraint of "single object drawn by a pair of parametric equations" and seeing what I can do within the confines of that constraint.
