It had to be done. Double double. Everybody on flickr had joined the bandwagon and I was a little late...
The whole point of this series was to explore the whole "mother's little helper" drug use thing back in the 50's and 60's.
I was so bored one night, and saw my grandmother's teapot, her old dress and scarf and went to town with the makeup.
Pretty scary things we can do when we are bored...
It was a good day for quantum physics, on the beach at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle.
(Actually, Michael and I were just playing around with the Panorama function on my Sony NEX-3.)

Cloaked in mystery: the Guardian of Nature cannot be observed by direct gaze. We must seek to glimpse her out of the corner of our eye. Will she appear at the inauguration of the New World parliament?

To appreciate the full danger this poor Brognad is in, you really have to check it out in a large size, and spot the terror of the skies above him, so please click here:
Luckily, the Brognad is wearing his mystical inter-dimensional jewish/ancient druid/wizard face decorations to ward off prehistoric evil & jeopardy, and his combat gear too, in the event that the face-magick proves ineffective.

If you watch Netflix's "Stranger Things" you'll understand my title.
Our family has gotten into the show. The producers have really done a great job portraying a slice of life in the early 80's. Being a kid of that era, I can't help but love the show. Its a great story too!

Deflection Beyond Reflection
"There is a rather more dramatic test than the one outlined above for people prepared to put their lives on the line: use a machine which kills them if a random quantum decay happens. If MWI is true, they will still be alive in the world where the decay didn't happen and would feel no interruption in their stream of consciousness. By repeating this process a number of times, their continued consciousness would be arbitrarily unlikely unless MWI was true, when they would be alive in all the worlds where the random decay was on their side. From their viewpoint they would be immune to this death process. Clearly, if MWI does not hold, they would be dead in the one world. Other people would generally just see them die and would not be able to benefit from the result of this experiment. See Quantum suicide."

A pre-Brexit series I shot and forgot. I found it again while slowly starting to process and scan old rolls—film that spent years tucked away in a shoebox, in a dark, forgotten corner of my house.
There’s a quiet, painful irony in these few frames. I’ve always been fascinated by the way we live so closely together, yet often exist in entirely different realities.
We share one world, and yet experience another, alone.
The human condition, maybe.
A contradiction we carry every day.
A living oxymoron.

Another piece I did for my portfolio submission to NYU based around the parallel universe theory.
I thought there were some interesting ties between the idea of parallel universes, and the butterfly effect idea, which is that a series of events determines the outcome, so in another parallel universe, if one of the things that delayed him to work hadn't, the man may have lived...
