With three 'east-west' runways as well as a north-south one, parallel movements are not unusual at Frankfurt airport.
Sales of the extra-short A318 did not even reach three figures, and its market potential limited enough that the Frontier ones were scrapped rather than sold on as flyers, as more money could be made that way.
Here we have YR-ASC, one of four with Romania's TAROM landing with an Aer Lingus Airbus in the distance.

The Brown Belt
Until 1989, the almost 1,400-kilometre-long inner-German border (also known as the German-German border) had massive fortifications to prevent the inhabitants of the GDR from visiting the FRG or permanently leaving the GDR for the West. From the north-south route from Oberrieden to just before Bad Sooden-Allendorf, travellers had a good view of the inhuman brown belt running parallel to the Werra.
The two 140s have just passed through the Schürzeberg tunnel and Oberrieden station with a coal train bound for Bebra. The watchtower at the top of the mountain was already visible here www.flickr.com/photos/199858026@N05/53706725522/in/datepo....
The village on the right-hand side of the picture is called Lindewerra. A bridge led from there across the river, which was blown up on 8 April 1945 during the retreat of the German Wehrmacht. A watchtower stood on the surviving eastern bridgehead and the village was hermetically sealed off. Lindewerra was located in the restricted area, which could only be visited with special authorisation by reliable persons from the GDR.
Since November 1989, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the peaceful revolution in the GDR, the border fortifications have been dismantled and transformed into a special eco-zone known as the Green Belt. The bridgeheads have since been restored and connected by a steel segment. The Werra Bridge was reopened to traffic in 1999.

Parallel Migrations
One of the latest public art installations is at the Lake Smith / Lake Lawson Natural Area.
Anne Dushanko Dobek is the artist in residence at Lake Lawson/Lake Smith Natural Area where she created her Eco Public Art Installation, "Parallel Migrations XXV" beginning August 13 with an unveiling on August 24th.
“Parallel Migrations” is Dobek’s decades-long series of global installations in which she uses silkscreened images of the Monarch butterfly as a symbol of survival in the face of perilous journeys.
“In ‘Parallel Migrations’ I use my signature image of the Monarch butterfly to address issues of global migrations. The Monarch butterfly in all its permutations becomes a metaphor for the millions of people crossing global borders in search of survival, sanctuary and safety,” said Dobek.
Virginia Beach’s Eco Public Art residencies are designed to inform and highlight Virginia Beach’s natural spaces. Through open calls for proposals, artists in this field are invited to participate in residencies to create site-responsive works of art using natural materials. They are encouraged to engage the public in artist talks and live demonstrations. Last year’s first Eco Public Art residency brought Benjamin Heller to create “Terrapin Basin” at Pleasure House Point Natural Area.
The Lake Lawson/Lake Smith Natural Area is a 42-acre preserve with more than 12,000 feet of shoreline located in the Bayside Borough of Virginia Beach at the corner of Shell Road and Northampton Blvd. The area is a popular fishing destination.

A parallel universe, also known as a parallel dimension, alternative universe or alternative reality, is a hypothetical self-contained plane of existence, co-existing with one's own. The sum of all potential parallel universes that constitute reality is often called a “ multiverse ". While the three terms are generally synonymous and can be used interchangeably in most cases, there is sometimes an additional connotation implied with the term "alternate universe/reality" that implies that the reality is a variant of our own, with some overlap with the similarly-named alternate history. The term "parallel universe" is more general, without implying a relationship, or lack of relationship, with our own universe. A universe where the very laws of nature are different – for example, one in which there are no Laws of Motion – would in general count as a parallel universe but not an alternative reality and a concept between both fantasy world and earth.

Built in 1870, this light is now maintained by Peninsula Township and short-term keepers are allowed to live in the lighthouse. It is half way between the North Pole and the Equator exactly on the 45th parallel. It was decommissioned in 1933.
It's definitely an aquired talent and a must for living in the city. I think they should give classes on it myself. There's a slight trick to it I learned.

So many parallel lines, so many lightings and light, aaahhh, aren't we lucky?
No shadow without light!
