Individuals and parallel lives. But all is joined together by one cord or backbone that some call spirit or love or atman.
Taken for active assignment weekly - parallel lines. Blinds on the office window.
WIT: The window glass has a tint of blue (and whitebalance set to daylight). Shot at close to telephoto end to get the dof.
Looks better in large.
Two ballet studios in a parallel universe with Storm Troopers and dancers on present day earth. Mirror images of the studios separated by a wall of mirrors. Both studios are rehearsing two dances from the Swan Lake Ballet while other dancers are taking ballet class or stretching on the floor. One dancer from each side is staring in the mirror imagining if the other studio exists.

Nothing to do with the Blondie Album!!
Taken as the sun was starting to set behind. I liked the strong parallel lines created by the farmer. Also took some long exposure shots which I will post soon.
On my 2-mile hike around Middle Reservoir (Paria Plateau, Sand Hills, northern Arizona), I walked across this formation that Michael Kelsey dubs "rock logs" -- parallel rows of grooved sandstone. The stain patterns cut perpendicularly across the grooves. Similar rock logs appear at Edmaier's Secret (West Clark Bench) but are red in color. They can also be found in Zion National Park... all the same Navajo sandstone formation.
For more rarely-seen sights in this region, visit my Paria Plateau album.
"Parallel Lives:" Some years ago, I wrote a poem that in my mind, a picture like this would eventually accompany, entitled the same. Here is an excerpt:
"Living our lives in parallel,
Yet in separate worlds we obliviously dwell.
Like tracks of a railroad bound together by ties,
But never intersecting; no chance for compromise.
Our coexistence is limited by circumspect.
Looking forward, looking back, only a forced disconnect.
On common ground, but so far out of reach;
The rules of separation we can never breach.
Always just exactly a set distance apart,
Whether middle, end, or at the very start.
Stuck in a limbo of the distance between;
Look, but don't touch; some things are only to be seen." (words and photo are copyright by TreeRose Photography, Theresa Rose Ditson).

While in Toronto I visited the Evergreen Brick Works area which I had been told would be great for some urban grit type of shots. It was a pretty cool location and the farmers market that was on allowed me to grab breakfast in the form of a burrito – yay. I wandered around for a while post food and also took around a small section of the Don Valley Brick Works Park.
Before I knew it the market was packing up for the day and I was left to wander around without too many people there, which was nice but also meant the chances of a random taxi arriving was very low.
As I walked around the outskirts of the buildings I saw a railway bridge which looked pretty cool – I had walked under the arches of one during my jaunt around the park and I wondered if it was the same one and, if so, whether or not it was even used…so I went to investigate. Ten minutes later I had gone up the hill, found the track and made my way over to the bridge area.
Within this shot you can see the lovely fall colours in the trees on the left; the edge of the Brick Works on the right, and the Toronto skyline in the distance.

I've found this Carpocoris bug in a morning relatively poor regarding macro subjects. So I decided to take a closer look but, when approaching, it took this alert-like attitude with almost parallel antennae.

Sunset at Cannon beach. Low tide exposes these beautiful ripples on the sand. A thin layer of water with the just receded tide reflecting the haystack rock and the clouds above
Masked man sits in a scootmobile on the Haarlemmerplein, Amsterdam. As another man walks along without a mask just enjoying a summerday.
Beacuse much of the lockdown rules in Holland have been advisory you have this weird parallel reality of sunrevelers on the one hand and masked people who look like they are prpering for some serious catastrophy on the other. Mostly young people are a bit more lax and older people tend to take more care. Tough not always, eitherway it makes for a pretty surreal view to see these to version of corona reality exist side by side.
A parallel universe, also known as a parallel dimension, alternative universe or alternative reality, is a hypothetical self-contained plane of existence, co-existing with one's own. The sum of all potential parallel universes that constitute reality is often called a “ multiverse ". While the three terms are generally synonymous and can be used interchangeably in most cases, there is sometimes an additional connotation implied with the term "alternate universe/reality" that implies that the reality is a variant of our own, with some overlap with the similarly-named alternate history. The term "parallel universe" is more general, without implying a relationship, or lack of relationship, with our own universe. A universe where the very laws of nature are different – for example, one in which there are no Laws of Motion – would in general count as a parallel universe but not an alternative reality and a concept between both fantasy world and earth.
Have you ever heard about multiverse, the cosmological theory? It's amazing.
Imagine a universe.
Imagine many universes all contained in that single universe.
Here's to you what we use to call parallel universes, single space/time units coexisting in a single god-huge space.
When we pass by, becoming what we call a soul, don't we reach another universe within this life-one?
Have you ever met a ghost? It's quite an interesting experience.
43xxx 43xxx 020420 Reading
Reading is a major junction on the Great Western network with lines from the South West meeting those from from Bristol, South Wales, Oxford and Cheltenham to the west of the station.
This view of Reading is now history of course as the junction was rebuilt as part of the GW main line upgrade for electrification.
Two HST sets, both in GW cigarette packet livery, arrive on the Up and Down slow lines with services from the Didcot direction as the main eastbound platform was occupied as well at the time.

Remarkably, I got this right on the first try, and it barely required any post-processing! Oh how I love the golden hour! (title c/o Jera)
