Daily Shoot: Use strong converging lines in a photograph today. It's your choice whether or not to show the vanishing point.
Parallel run featuring visiting loco Fox from the Kirklees light railway seen approaching Botolphs Bridge LC
Geometric and parallel lines run across the Nazca Desert accompanying the spider, monkey, spaceman etc... I just loved the moodiness of this landscape.
To avoid fighting two stags will pose and parade, trying to impress each other by their size and power. Part of this is the parallel walk, a chance to get the measure of the challenger. Usually one will back down, but if not, "combat" commences!
Babak was very smart and went to bed at midnight on the first night of the show. As you can see he is bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for the final day of the Summit.
Any closer and you're going to have to polish your lens :) - lempkin

As close as I got to a subject in a while.

I take the view railway photography is a lot like fishing, you go out hopeful and often come back having caught little! A class 205 DEMU seen on 30th August 1993 at Appledore working the 12:21 Ashford to Hastings service.
From a 645 colour negative on Agfa Optima 200.

There was a steepness in the darkness
I wanted to cut it like a comet crash
Hit the city, where you had echoed from a flash
Made it all seem not so bad
'Cause we were parallel lines running through the whole sky
And even in the low light, we were aligned
'Cause we were parallel lines, separate the whole time
But even in the divide, you and I
Don't dare repeat this
But when I lay alone that night
I let the city see me cry
And in my weakness
I wish you hadn't closed your eyes
Crossed the city, open mine
'Cause we were parallel lines, running through the whole sky
And even in the low light, we were aligned
'Cause we were parallel lines, separate the whole time
But even in the divide, you and I
I watched you comb your hands through the light
Every detail spilled from your outline
All at once you filled my eyes
And I could see it all for the first time
'Cause we were parallel lines running through the whole sky
(The whole sky)
And even in the low light, we were aligned
(We were aligned)
'Cause we were parallel lines, separate the whole time
(Whole time)
And even in the divide, you and I

Panorama created in Lightroom from five separate shots.
_1360296 - Walking up the slipway and this just caught my eye. It was Friday and I had been taking shots of benches so thought it would add a twist to the collection. Apologise for the focus on the front edge at least
Square cropped to remove lower wall section of the bench as I wanted you to focus on the bench rails and the yellow lines, so the centre of focus is at the other end of the bench.
DMC G1 + Helios 44M - Hence the short focus area
Free hand (hands were very cold at this point almost frozen fingers)
