Parallel Universe by Ouchhh is a light installation at Artechouse. The light patterns are pure white light. However, my camera sensor captures the white light in these imaginary colors, so the photos look very different than the actual work.
Just before entering New Delhi (NDLS), we run parallel to an EMU from Kosi Kalan which was stationary at Sadar Bazar just moments ago when we entered the station premises. We run parallel for some time, after which we get a red signal and have to wait, and the EMU emerges as the winner.

Chơi chán cả ngày vẫn thấy mình quên chưa làm cái gì đấy, đến tối mới nhớ ra mình có cái hẹn với cái album này, hàng tuần ;)
Tối qua, đã định đi hôm nay sẽ đi đến một nơi thênh thang lộng gió, có đồng cỏ, có cây lớn, có một con đường nhỏ giữa những cái cây lớn nhưng mình chưa bao giờ đặt chân đi hết. Nhưng, thế nào lại thôi. Ngán ngẩm vì lại phải thay quần áo ra đường, rồi lại phải đi một mình. Thế, nên chẳng có cái ảnh nào của ngày hôm nay cả.
Lấy tạm cái ảnh chụp vào một đêm, nào đó, cái khu phố nhà mình mà đúng hơn là được mỗi cái góc ngay dưới cửa sổ phòng. Một mống dây điện của mấy chục căn hộ giăng đầy và chúng được nối với nhau tại cái cột điện đặt tại góc phải phía trên bức ảnh. Nếu như là đoạn dây ở nối giữa các khung sứ (hix chả biết gọi là gì đâu) thì có lẽ chúng song song thật, nhưng đây là đoạn kết về cái cột, nên chúng gặp nhau, tất nhiên, tại cái cột điện ấy.
Đời người cũng như những mống dây điện này.
Chúng ta đều đã gặp nhau, có lẽ, ở một nơi nào đó. Nhưng khi bước đi, lại bước trên hai đường thẳng song song. Có người bước nhanh đoạn này thì có người bước chậm đoạn ấy. Rồi không hẹn mà lại gặp nhau. Rồi lại sải bước song song, rồi lại đụng mặt nhau. Sau nhiều lần đụng chạm, có người sẽ yêu quí người kia hơn, nhưng cũng có kẻ vốn không ưa, dần dà đâm ghét, kì thị kẻ kia. Luôn có sự tăng tiến trong mối quan hệ giữa hai người. Chẳng khác gì dòng điện áp trong những cái dây điện kia. Chúng luôn cùng tăng trong suốt hành trình dẫn khu dân cư cho đến nhà máy điện, hoặc cùng giảm theo chiều ngược lại...
Ở một vài khu phố khác, có những đoạn, dây điện bó lại thành cả mớ, xoắn quẩy và chằng chịt. Rồi thì muốn thêm một đường dây nữa ư, đơn giản, quăng thêm một dây vào. Nhưng muốn gỡ một dây trong cái bó ấy, chắc là được thôi, nhưng vất. Đời người gặp không biết bao nhiêu mặt người, ghét có, thân có. Mỗi ngày lại quen thêm được vài người. Nhưng cũng mất đi một vài người. Từ cái chỗ quen đến thân, thân mặt, thân lòng, cũng phải đi qua một thời gian. Rồi từ chỗ quen thân đến sự mất mát lại là một khoảng thời gian khác, nó lâu hơn, sâu hơn, đau đáu hơn. Và cũng phải lâu, lâu, thật lâu để có thể nguôi ngoai cái sự mất mát ấy.
Viết nhân một ngày cũng vui đấy. Đặc biệt là sau khi nghe bài On top of the world – Imagine Dragons (thấy cmt là bài này trong pes2013 ạ =)

Parallel Lines for OurDailyChallenge
These are the lines left by the drill used to define the lined along which these giant chunks of rock were split. I found them in the harbour at Southamptom, Ontario where they are being used as a breakwater.

here is my desktop for april. I can not take the photo credit for the photo, it's one of the members of one of the car forums I frequent on the regular. Car is just like mine though.....
This is probably the most serendipitous encounter I have experienced during my Strangers Project.
I was sitting in a coffee shop with a friend and we were discussing the movie Philomena which I had recently seen. This is a 2013 movie starring Judy Dench and Steve Coogan. It is the story of a young Irish Catholic girl who has a child out of wedlock and her story as a woman over 50 years later who along with a BBC corespondent attempt to find her son. The story is based on the Martin Sixsmith book, The Lost Child Of Philomena Lee.
The story encompasses many facets of how teen pregnancy was viewed years ago including, family shame, economic circumstances, religious beliefs etc. The Catholic Church and their view of these events and their part in the adoption process.
During this conversation a woman sitting nearby, apologized for interrupting and asked if we minded if she "made a comment?"
'That is my story, I was adopted under similar circumstances"
Meet Shirley:
Shirley was born in Halifax Nova Scotia, her mother was English and her father was Syrian, Shirley was adopted by a French Canadian Family, through the Catholic Church in Nova Scotia. Like in Philomena, Shirley's mother did not voluntarily put her up for adoption, but was coerced for various reasons to give up her child.
This turn of events has had a significant effect on Shirley and when she watched the movie Philomena the parallels to her own life experiences were profound.
Shirley is an active member of Parent Finders Ottawa, which is part of Parent Finders Canada. She was fortunate to have found her birth mother, helping her to put some missing pieces into her life.
As it happens Shirley is a very talented Visual Artist/Designer who has lived in both Montreal and Ottawa. She has a Visual Arts Diploma from Dawson College in Montreal, Shirley also holds a Diploma in Museum Studies from Algonquin College in Ottawa. She has worked as a museum exhibit designer and curator. Her CV is extensive.
Shirley was in the coffee shop to meet her writer friend Seymour Hamilton. He was bringing in his newly published illustrated novel, The Laughing Princess, which Shirley had illustrated. Shirley showed me a copy of the book and truly the illustrations were magnificent.
When Shirley shared her story I was gobsmacked, what were the odds of this encounter happening?
I explained my 100 Strangers Project to Shirley and she readily agreed to participate.

Planted orginally to be harvested for fence posts, the land became federal land and so the trees have been maturing for the last several decades into its own wood. Only its a wood where the trees form perfect parallel rows....

i realize that a parallel universe is an unproven scientific theory....but, if scientists would be interested in a study of my life, i think it might be relatively easy to prove! i am fairly certain that i merge back and forth between at least two of these realms every day.... and, altho i am not sure, i think my car may be the portal! (wink-wink!)
My daily life is fairly colorful and fun, with loads of distractions from boredom....but it seems that after getting in my car in the morning, i am transported to a place i would rather not be. Don’t get me wrong....it is not a “bad” place....just not as amusing and colorful and fun, with distractions from boredom like i have BEFORE i get in the car! i spend roughly 4 hours in this place, 5 days a week...mostly with my mind back in the pre-car universe, plotting what i will do when i get back there....
sooooooooooo...like i said, i am pretty sure the scientists could prove the existence of the parallel universe if they would just agree to brief study of my life. Hmmmmm....maybe this is why i just love the book A WRINKLE IN TIME....
