Series Introduction: "Parallel Vintage"

This series, "Parallel Vintage", explores that very idea. Through the lens of AI, we step into a realm where vintage is not a memory, but a reimagining—a delicate fusion of early 1900s charm and subtle retro-futurism. These images are not snapshots of history, but fragments of an alternate timeline: a world where sepia tones, hand-tinted hues, and the soft haze of old postcards meet the quiet wonder of what might have been. Here, the grain of film and the brushstroke of watercolor do not preserve the past; they invent it.

Seen at the buffers at Huddersfield in West Yorkshire is Northern Rail owned Class 144, 144010, preparing to depart for Leeds, and similarly owned Class 142, 142022, which had just arrived from Leeds.

In a man made environment parallel lines seem to be all round us . I think I could have kept snapping parallel lines all day long. It certainly opened my eyes to parallel lines!

Great album from Blondie, however, I have always been fascinated by the crackling overhead power lines that stride across our landscape.
from historic site marker: Built for Pablo and Elena Llescas in the early 1860s, this single story row house has two exterior walls not parallel with respect to the other walls. This indicates construction prior to the 1866 Ruggles Street Grid. This building is constructed on the property lines of the south and west. The gabled roof was added over the sonoran mud roof in the 1890s, and the original via and saguaro-rib ceilings are still intact and visible. 66529 heading 4L85 12:28 Doncaster EPT - Felixstowe North FLT out of the new dive under at Marholm Junction near Peterborough. It would seem that on this date there was an imbalance with the flow of containers heavily weighted in one direction.
As this engineering project has only recently been completed, the general layout is unusually clean, tidy and vegetation-free. 04/04/2022.

A line of hopper cars sit parked on a siding beside the East Broad Top station in Rockhill, PA. I "think" these are some of the hoppers that the rail crew has been using to lay new ballast on the narrow gauge line that they have been refurbishing to running order since February of 2020. I could be wrong on that, but these look to be recently used, as opposed to many of the other hoppers around the yards that have rusty wheels. The fall foliage thankfully held on just long enough for our visit for an afternoon Pete Lerro photo charter in October of 2020.
