Obtain more accurate shooting with your slingshot by attaching a multi-sight! This sight has fiber optic iron sights and a picatinny rail mount (rail included) for mounting your favorite optic (such as a red dot, scope or other parallax free sight to your slingshot. This is a bolt on modification of the Montie Gear Y-Shot slingshot. The sights are compatible with the wrist brace and the arrow rests.
I built this with parts from Beacon Tracer, Multi-core Magnetizer and Stellar Recon Voyager. This is an M-Tron purist recreation of a Vic Viper.

Parallax error. There should be another pipe outside that I focused to, but it's blocked. Didn't realize this because I had the screen flipped.

passing alongside (or maybe imperceptibly walking with) the pro-Palestine protest in Chicago on October 18, 2023. that's a blue flare of police lights behind them.
Probably pushed the ISO too far here but I kinda like it?
Moon and stars if were at differnt distances would create parallax...but none has ever been recorded while doing their dome shaped paths. A spinning camera could never create seperation of trails.

Here is the technique I use to adjust my pano head to the no-parallax point. I first adjust my tripod head to a level comfortable for standing. Then find a marker to place on the ground below the tripod. In this case I used an orange wire nut. Then adjust as in the center image, so that the edge of base of the pano head aligns with the marker. Then pan up and down to the extremes of the field of view, making adjustments so that the marker will be at the edge of the base for all 3 locations.
More details in this discussion on Pano Head Alignment.

Wow - this is one right out of the camera without any adjustments. I thought it was a good one when I took it. The colors are a bit flat or clashing... but the shapes are cool - please see at larger size. I've done a few like this - it happens when you take a shot of far away houses or lights on the highway and then a car or two drive by in the foreground. You can see how the far away lights move a lot where the closer car appears to move less. This is counter to parallax where the far away things move less and the closer things move more. Maybe it is a time issue.
Have started after effects for some creative film making and loving the 3D parallax movement of still photographs in it :)
