L.A.P.P. or Light Art Performance Photography is achieved by moving various light sources such as LED, Neon, Cold Cathode, Tungsten torches, LASER, Halogen with carefully planned and choreographed movement in front of the camera set to a long exposure.
Shows the viewfinder of the Agfa Selecta with the bright-line, parallax marks and green disc displaying the auto-selected aperture (here, f8).
This took ages to get lined-up, framed and focused to even close to what I wanted; the taking lens' rim is touching the back of the Agfa. Only once uploaded to the PC did the filthy state of the window get noticed (mostly caused by a cat scraping). There's also an odd blob of flare right of centre.

Deer Lodge is an interesting experience. The rooms are old and cramped, and the building has as both character and creaks, but the dining room is excellent and the location incredible. It's a perfect spot for an old-fashioned vacation, where you mingle with other guests in a sitting room, write a letter on a table by the window, or sing around the piano near the fireplace.
The dining room is on the other side of the hotel, with a wonderful view of the mountains. The fence on the roof is where there's an outdoor hot-tub.
The only downside is the age of the staff. They are young and generally enthusiastic, but their lack of experience shows when dealing with difficult guests. It's a real skill telling a pushy patron that they have to behave like a grown-up and wait their turn, especially when you're a teenager, but leaving the other diners waiting 10-15 minutes because one table wanted extra service isn't a good choice. Better training (and an experienced manager for backup) would work wonders.
This High Dynamic Range panorama was stitched from 75 hand-held bracketed exposures with PTGUI Pro, tone-mapped with Photomatix, and cleaned up in Aperture. There is a lot of parallax error on the right — I moved too much before taking the last shot — and some of the deep shadows have a bluish tinge, but overall this gives a pretty good idea what this place is like.
I'll be staying here again, definitely!

Parallax Propeller SchmartModule
This board is populated with everything except for the Parallax Propeller Chip, memory and the optional Parallax Crystal. You hand solder these parts using SchmartBoard|ez technology which makes soldering easy and flawless(and some headers which are included). The Propeller chip makes it easy to rapidly develop embedded applications. Its eight processors (cogs) can operate simultaneously, either independently or cooperatively, sharing common resources through a central hub. The developer has full control over how and when each cog is employed; there is no compiler-driven or operating system-driven splitting of tasks among multiple cogs. A shared system clock keeps each cog on the same time reference, allowing for true deterministic timing and synchronization. Two programming languages are available: the easy-to-learn high-level Spin, and Propeller Assembly which can execute at up to 160 MIPS (20 MIPS per cog).

Details and History
The U.S. National Archives offers a multitude of historical images on Flickr, many with no known restrictions on use. This Mathew Brady self portrait was indicated taken between 1860 and 1865. A renowned photographer, he is credited with inventing photojournalism.
This appears to be an example of accidental parallax arising from redundant exposures with unintentional camera movement between. Slow photography of the time necessitated staging a pose and holding it for several seconds to avoid blurring. The negative has eight images and is consistent with the product of a multiplying camera. The apparent "wink" indicates these are independent exposures.

Details and History
The Library of Congress website offers a multitude of historical images, many with no known restrictions on use. This portrait of Miss Weston was constructed from two separate images, one named "Lucille Weston" and the other "Miss C. Weston". This seems an example of accidental parallax arising from redundant exposures with unintentional camera movement between. Slow photography of the time necessitated staging a pose and holding it for several seconds to avoid blurring. The photographer is likely Mathew B. Brady or his apprentice Levin C. Handy.
Web searching the name in the context of acting most frequently returns stories about Lucille Western, with her name misspelled "Weston". This seems a different person when compared with images at the NY pubilc lbrary but bears some similarities to a different image titled Probably Lucille Western. Makeup and lighting make comparisons more challenging. Enlarged images similarly show large, free (not attached) earlobes.
The actress Lucille Western
She became famous performing in "coarse and lurid" plays, as her NY times obituary recalled. The same source indicates her signature role in "East Lynne", using an adaptation she purchased cheaply, earned her up to $300,000 in the 16 years before her death. An approximate valuation of 1877 currency in 2010 dollars is 20 times larger.
Her brutal oeuvre was popular with audiences, if not critics. Louis James, 25 years after her death, recalled her as being both crude and uneducated, but with [a] gripping temperament. A fascinating recollection of a gasman (gaslight operator) and electrician recalled her signature role, "She made the play. She threw her whole soul into Nancy, and the result was a ghastly success. The manager complained of fainting patrons but she refused to make the performance less shocking. "Did you ever see a woman with her brains knocked out? That's what Nancy was at the last. That's what I'm playing," she argued. On training a male lead she critiqued the initial run through: "That will never do," said she. "Don't be afraid of me. I won't crumble to pieces. Take hold of my hair. You've got to drag me around by it. It's in tight and won't come out. You've got to kill me, and I'm going, to struggle for my life, understand?" She was the greatest natural actress I ever saw. Her education amounted to very little. (Excerpted from "Gasman and Electrician Tell Some Stories of Noted Satellites and Favorites of Stagedom", The Sunday Oregonian, Portland 7/27/1913),
An article "STAGE ACCIDENTS" from the 2/18/1893 Buffalo Evening News recalls an incident where she fired a powder rifle into an actor's face, and didn't realize he was seriously hurt. When she found out, she fainted.
