ForestEthics & the Sierra Club team up to crash the Sustainable Brands corporate beach party with a #NoTarSands kayak blockade!
Two other cruise ships besides the Carnival Glory came in. It was interesting to see the one on the right of the picture dock as it was the last one in and wedged itself in between the Glory and the one on the end.

While coming down from the Alta Vista point through the start of the skyline trail I saw the rays of sun coming through the trees and the I paused for a moment to see if I could capture what my eyes could see. I setup the tripod and just as I was going to take the shot I felt a felt some thumps on the ground close by. I got distracted by that I was not expecting something like that and turned around to see what was going on. I saw two young deers playfully running around chasing each other.
This shot is a merge of two separate exposures to balance the sunlight. The first one was taken to properly expose for the sun rays and the second one was taken with my hand covering the sun to expose for the foreground wild flowers.

We cruised for 12 days aboard NCL Gem in December 2014. Our second stop was St. Thomas in the USVI.
The tour we were on made several photo stops along the way.
One photo stop on the tour gave us a view of the harbor and our home away from home, NCL Gem.
The sun sets on Lake Superior as photographed from a sea cave on a stretch of rocky coast in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The Paradise Point Bowls Club.
The Infinity Club is pleased to announce that the Paradise Point Bowls Club has been awarded our "Global Cooling Award" in recognition of the valuable contribution made in combating Global Warming. The most effective action that can be taken to combat Global Warming is to reflect sunlight back into space before it is converted into heat on Earth. This award is given because the building in this photo is mostly white and also has a highly reflective roof. This helps to cool the building and the planet by reflecting more sunlight and therefore generating less heat. This can still be improved upon even further by making some of the stonework around the building and especially the car parks and driveways white, or by providing shading from the sun with plants and trees or with white reflective shades.
Global Warming and Climate Change can be stopped completely, simply by:- 1. Painting or making everything white, with the exception of vegetation. 2. Re-planting all the trees that we have lost. 3. Increasing cloud cover by 12% to 18%.
If we stop excess heat being generated by the sun in the first place, then atmospheric carbon (greenhouse gas) is not a problem. The carbon dioxide (CO2), actually helps to cool the Earth through the process of photosynthesis. During the process of photosynthesis, solar energy is captured and stored by the plant. The solar energy that is stored by the plant, can then no longer heat the planet.
