Stained glass panel using a mixture of resin-bonded fused glass and silkscreened elements by Kate Hartley.
Three years of study at the Architectural Stained Glass Department at Swansea culminated in the degree show, with each student (usually fewer in number by now than at the start!) allocated a window space in the building to display their work, with a mixture of panels representing the various techniques explored and styles developed by each individual.
I usually took a full set of photos of each show (I was known for being obsessive compulsive with a camera even then!) and felt uploading the full set best represents the range of talents and ideas, in many cases of people who never worked in the medium in post-college life.
If any of my contemporaries are looking in I hope they will be flattered and see this as a tribute to their achievements. If for any reason anyone is unhappy about their work being shared online do please let me know.

Eleven panels for a private theater in a home in Russia. I used Novacolor acrylic paints on a very fuzzy sound deadening cloth that was quite a challenge to paint on. They will be mounted on stretchers with columns separating them. Each panel is 100 inches high, and the widths vary from 28 inches up to 130 inches for panel #4. The series is based on a set of 15th century Flemish hunting tapestries.

This lined and interlined Tuscany Panel is made of a poly-silk paisley fabric with a glass bead trim. It is a stationary panel that utilizes Italian Stringing to hold the folds in place and is designed to have the unstructured "waterfall" look.

Originally wanted to add some descirptions to each panel" "to give some kind of narrative to each piece but in the end ran out of time and inspiration.
This one would of simply read:
"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
This panel was in the back of what used to be a hotel lobby. It looks really important, like a fire alarm panel, but it looks different from my fire alarm at home. That one is a small circle glued to the ceiling. It slowly drains a 9-volt battery. This is not that.
