The little box gets her first teeth

And her little length

Little width little emptiness

And all the rest she has

The little box continues growing

The cupboard that she was inside

Is now inside her

And she grows bigger bigger bigger

Now the room is inside her

And the house and the city and the earth

And the world she was in before

The little box remembers her childhood

And by a great longing

She becomes a little box again

Now in the little box

You have the whole world in miniature

You can easily put in a pocket

Easily steal it lose it

Take care of the little box

Peering deep into the early Universe, this picturesque parallel field observation from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope reveals thousands of colourful galaxies swimming in the inky blackness of space. A few foreground stars from our own galaxy, the Milky Way, are also visible.

In October 2013 Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) and Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) began observing this portion of sky as part of the Frontier Fields programme. This spectacular skyscape was captured during the study of the giant galaxy cluster Abell 2744, otherwise known as Pandora's Box.

This one is to make up for being lazy last night and skipping my daily sketch :) I'll post tonight's sketch later.

In Greek mythology, ''Pandora's box'' is the large jar (πιθος pithos) carried by Pandora (Πανδώρα) that contained all the evils of mankind: greed, vanity, slander, lying, envy, pining and hope. Stare into its limitless corruptive depths & lose your mind.

Do not open the box! Every war is the senseless destruction of lives

in the interests of the arms industry and a few deranged fanatics!

And hope is the last to die.

Rome, details... (...Pandora ???)

Pandora's Box has never been a closed box... Bayes knew that.

(?)

This is just a lame attempt at trying to imitate and take inspiration from Pandorasbox by myrtepeert. I faved a few of her works. It's so awesome! Go check it out!

Anyway. So I got this idea in my head when I wanted to incorporate one of my recent sufferings as of late. No, not the stress (calmed down, thanks to prayers).

But I've been suffering badly of Hay Fever. It's the time of the year whereby flowers pollinate like there's no tomorrow. And to those without this curse, think the flowers smell gorgeous, however, to me, every time I breath is a painful experience.

It's either the blocked sinuses. Or the blood-shot red swollen eyes. Oh and let's not forget the ten-at-a-time-sneezes one makes. And the constant need to blow one's nose.

But sometimes I'm glad I have it. Mainly for "cover up", when I just so happened to be crying, but don't want to make it out like I am. So there's an excuse, and I generally shift the blame onto my hay fever problem when my eyes are mightily swollen and bloodshot, and my nose is sniffy with snot. Oh yes.

But other than that, I hate having this curse.

Sleeping is a nightmare too (when trying to). The nose plays up. And in the morning too, vision is more blurred. And the nose plays up again too.

Blergh. The current antihistamines I'm using are rubbish. So I might just invest in some nasal spray (something I've rejected for a long long time, but might just have to resort to trying it out). And the ever-so-lush-and-refreshing-eye drops (which is an ok thing this year, as it's the first summer I've not worn contact lenses... so that's cool).

Or another option is to leave the green UK for a place where flowers don't pollinate like it's the end of the world. Oh yes. That sounds like a nice idea :)

This is pretty similar to my Week 33 portrait. I'm running out of ideas!

I'm sorry for not being able to drop by your streams. There's only a few weeks of classes left, so deadlines are starting to pile up again. Hopefully I can visit your streams during the sem break :)

A little info about Pandora's box so that you guys could know what i meant:

In Greek mythology, Pandora was given a box by the gods, and was told not to open it. Naturally, she opened it...

All the ills of the world flew out, and no one has ever been able to contain them again. Only hope was left in the box.

I'll probably change the title for this...

So here's another photo for my mythology series (based on the story of Pandoras box) which I shot today whilst out with my cousins Alice and Lottie. Alice (pictured) had offered to model for this series when I asked for volunteers, so here's the result!

I'll probably have a second photo for Pandora up soon as well.

WAH are visiting the 1950s today which is really apt. This a picture of my grandparents with my mother and brother, taken in 1953 in Wales on holiday.

I have pulled the very old albums out in order to scan them in for a newly found relative.

My grandfather had 2 brothers. One was stationed in Germany after the war and during that time had a german girlfriend. He returned to England leaving behind his girlfriend, not knowing she was pregnant and she never told him.

The baby, who was born in 1946, only recently found out that the man married to his mother is not his real father – it came out by accident, and his mother then told him the full story.

He eventually tracked one of the family down and then found his way to my mother and our family. And guess who has all the old pictures of relatives he never knew he had?

So he is my mothers cousin and he would have been 7 years old at time this picture was taken; my mum is about 10 in this pic.

this kind of meets the week 33 theme - Pandora's box.
