Electro-Diesel class 88004 'Pandora' of Direct Rail Services with a southbound container train on the WCML between Daresbury and Preston Brook Cheshire.
To be honest..........taken in broad daylight.
I once hauled equipment up and down mountainsides one summer for a locally famous photographer who insisted the only way to get a good moon into your landscape photo was by manipulation. Pre-Photoshop days, he would get a good moon photo then "burn" it onto his landscapes in the darkroom.
Me, I just work at being in the right place at the right time with the right camera, tripod, filter and, ....good fortune.
The mountain is Ingram Peak, located above what once was a town named Pandora. The town is gone, not a ghost town but buried under mill tailings from the local ore mills.

Last night we had pandora4image and ImagesByLizzie over for dinner. I made some Maxie risotto with mushrooms, a salade and for desert homemade Brownies with whipped cream ( with a little fruitpepper twist) and raspberries..But Pandora brought some homemade applepie also. Since we all felt a bit stuffed, today was a good day to make a nice cup of tea and ......waiting in the fridge...her applepie :)) which is magicly delicious!!!

Can you believe it? Another photo of Pandora! I'm not a huge fan of this photo, so I'm going to go out again when she isn't using Violets body and wig...I'm going to wait an hour since it is currently thundering, so please stand by! Well, a better photo of her isnt going to happen today!

Getting to this place isn't easy, either. I wish I could tell you how tired my legs were and still are. I added about another 1/4 inch of calf muscle in the last week. Climbing these spires with all my equipment is not cake walk. I climbed to the top three times in my hikes, and my first day had about 10km of unforgettable pain. 10km is one thing. 10km that involves these kinds of verticals is another thing.
I also climbed one of these at night. Alone. That was exciting. I don't know if exciting is quite the right word for it, but it certainly was an experience (that word said with French accent). On the way down, I ran into a big snake that would have liked nothing more than to rock my face off. I'll have a full story on that in a later post from this area.

Maybe if she just took a quick peak.... Looking around to make sure no one was watching, she opened the box .... just a crack.
As Pandora did so, ghostly forms gushed forth from the crack.
Pandora had unleashed all the evils now known to man. all the diseases and ghastly things rushed into the air, at the very bottom of the container was the last thing to come out, It was something that wasn't evil, it was Hope.

There is an old sailing ship which sunk of our waters here many years ago....this cloud reminds me of the figurehead on the bow...It is in our museum here
