Today has been beautiful, the clouds the weather... this was taken outside of work with my iphone . Using best cam app.
Portland was treated to a rare snow on Tuesday night. I estimate 3-4 inches fell where I was in SE Portland, at a rate of about an inch an hour. The snow started around 9pm. Around 1am when the snow was at its peak I walked around the 'hood, since fresh snow is beautiful and it doesn't happen often here! Alas, while I walked the rain turned to snow. By the next morning everything was slush, and by Wednesday afternoon there was nothing left as the temperature rose to a balmy 52F/11C.
My favorite palm tree destination in Portland: the very appropriate Spanish Colonial style house at SE 22nd and Stephens.
The two windmill palms in front of this very Spanish/Southwestern abode (or adobe?) located on NE 37th is definitely "thematically correct". I've known about this house for years, and have seen these palms grow up, but it's always been just too far off my routings to get on any of the Palm Tree Rides, alas. Consider this the Monday bonus!
